ABC Apprenticeship Trust Academy
Wednesday, Feb. 26-Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025

Are you a current or prospective apprenticeship trustee? Are you a plan administrator?

If you answered “yes” to either of these questions, the ABC Apprenticeship Trust Academy at ABC Convention 2025 is a must-attend event.

This year’s academy will feature new topics and additional presenters! Even if you’ve attended in the past, you will have many new insights to gain at this session.

New Topics Include:

  • Time and recordkeeping for reimbursement of staff expense
  • Reading and understanding trust financials
  • Understanding forms 990 and 5500
  • Conducting trust meetings, creating agendas and recording minutes

The ABC Apprenticeship Trust Academy will provide new and current apprenticeship fiduciaries with the knowledge and tools to effectively lead the essential programs that develop our future construction professionals. When your ERISA Trust is audited, one of the first questions the U.S. Department of Labor will ask is whether your fiduciaries have participated in continuing education. By attending this training, you will be able to answer “yes.”

While many organizations offer this type of training to fiduciaries of employee benefit programs—at almost twice the cost—this is the only program designed specifically for administering merit shop apprenticeship programs. The academy focuses on risk management, fiduciary obligations and the roles and responsibilities of a trustee.

You won’t want to miss the chance to network with your fellow plan fiduciaries and learn tips from national experts. Make the ABC Apprenticeship Trust Academy an essential part of your 2025 continuing education goals.

Why Should You Attend?

  • Better understand your role as a trustee or staff leader
  • Better understand the roles and responsibilities of plan fiduciaries to ensure alignment with DOL requirements
  • Learn from national experts and get answers to your most important compliance questions
  • Meet needs for fiduciary continuing education
  • Network and share best practices with other trustees
